Dude, this is the city I was born in. I know exactly which building that is, I HAVE BEEN TO THIS BUILDING, I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE FROM ABOVE

I know where Dixon is and this tracks👌🏼

I got several requests for more of these!

Flags: Baker’s original rainbow, queer, asexual, aromantic, bear brotherhood, questioning, transmasculine, agender, genderfluid, and omnisexual.

(Image description: ten square pride flags with white text that reads “you’ll never have the comfort of our silence again”.)

These are inspired by this post, an image of a sign taken at an anti-Anita Bryant protest in 1978.

I know exactly what you intended this meme to mean, but my immediate gut interpretation is very different.

This meme makes me think of all my local folks currently flipping shit over a construction paper rainbow on the wall in a nearby public library.

It makes me think of the cis men on TikTok having tantrums because stores sell clothes for young boys that are colorful and have rainbows on them. It reminds me of the religious folks I’ve met who believe that the end times are near because they saw a person they perceived to be a man wearing colorful paint on their faces and nails.

Yesterday, a news page on Facebook posted a picture of a rainbow cake. The post and recipe themselves contained no mention of Pride or the LGBTQIA community whatsoever, yet the comments were filled with queerphobic people absolutely foaming at the mouth. Because of food coloring.

You’ve poisoned yourselves.

Imagine holding a hatred so deep that you can no longer enjoy color and rainbows and light.

None of you will ever admit it, but your hatred of others harms you as surely as it hurts the innocent people in your communities.

That small horrid twisted thing in the bottom left square of your meme is exactly what each of you has become, and you have no one to blame but yourselves.

You could have chosen differently.

You still can.
